Envision Sound for Ukrainian filmmakers: submit your film until November 10th
A presentation of the Envision Sound project, which was created by the British Council in partnership with the National Center of Alexander Dovzhenko, was held as a part of "Molodist. Prologue".
Before the presentation, the director of the Kyiv IFF Molodist Andriy Khalpahchi expressed his gratitude: "I am very grateful to the British Council in Ukraine and the National Dovzhenko Center for the fact that we have such a chance to hold such a presentation today."
Anna Karnaukh, British Council Art Project Manager, and Oleksandr Teluk, a member of the National Dovzhenko Center , talked abut the Envision Sound program, which will last for five days. Participants expect a lot of presentations and practical workshops, as well as case studies from professional composers, discussions, evening demonstrations, and networking.
Michael Price will become a mentor of the event. He is one of the most famous composers in the UK. His work in cinema and television is widely recognized and nominated by BAFTA and two other Emmy nominees for recognized by critics and well-known Sherlock series produced by the BBC, to which Price reads music with David Arnold. The second mentor will be Alla Zahaykevich, the winner of the prize of the Ukrainian Academy of Motion Picture "Zolota Dzyga" in the nomination "The Best Composer" (April 2017, for the movie «The Living Fire»). The author of the soundtracks for films "Mamay" and "The Guide".
They also invite young Ukrainian filmmakers to submit their work in progress by November 10th as a material for the work of film composers during Envision Sound.
