Andrea Wink: “The first thing I want to know is the director’s motivation for making their film”
As part of the “Talent Workshop” of the “Molodist” festival, the German Short Film Association AG Kurzfilm conducted a training: “How to communicate your ideas to the audience”.
The German Short Film Association was founded in May 2002 to represent and lobby for German short films. The mission of the association is raising public awareness for German short films. It acts not only as a link between the political authorities and the film industry, but as a service center for filmmakers, producers, screenwriters and others involved in the creation of short films. AG Kurzfilm also collaborates with various international festivals and cinemas.
Andrea Wink, board member of the German Short Film Association, based in Dresden, conducted the training on behalf of the Association.
At the beginning of the training Andrea briefly explained the necessity of presenting your work to the public and visualizing your words in the form of a plan, so that each participant of the training was able to rely on it in presenting their work to the others.
Overall during the training, 5 young filmmakers presented their short films or concepts for short films. Names of participants will remain a secret until tomorrow, because on October 27 at 10:00 the German Short Film Association invites them to an open presentation of projects!
