Molodist KIFF Promoting Ukraine in Cannes
Molodist Kyiv International Film Festival (KIFF) is promoting Ukraine as cultural country at the Marché du Film of the 69th Cannes Film Festival. The Ukrainian Pavilion is daily visited by representatives of the world cinema industry. Namely, by Ahmet Boyacioglu – Head of Turkish Film Agency, Tiina Lokk – Head of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Raymond Yan – Festival Manager at UNIFRANCE, Schory Katriel – Executive Director at Israel Film Fund, Hinako Matsumoto – Japanese actress and many others.
It is important that over 200 guests were present at the Ukrainian Party organized by PC “UKRPLASTIC”. Andriy Khalpakhchi, General Director of Molodist KIFF, welcomed guests and invitees and discussed series of questions with them concerning cinematography and filmmaking.
Moreover, project ‘Everything Starts in Kyiv’ was presented during the night. Notably, Oleksiy Reznikov, Deputy Mayor of Kyiv, presenting the capital of Ukraine not only announced a new format of cooperation between Kyiv City State Administration ad Molodist KIFF but invited representatives of cinema industry to produce films in Ukraine.
It is symbolic that Molodist were supported in Cannes by Latvian music band and Georgian wine and spirits brand Askaneli. This partnership speaks for openness of Ukraine and our drive for cooperation and cultural exchange.
